The Office of the Deputy Director General (RMNCH), Directorate General Health Services Sindh, has invited applications from female candidates, preferably married, for admission to the Community Midwifery Training Course.

About the Community Midwifery Programme

The Community Midwifery programme is designed to prepare women to provide maternal and newborn healthcare services within their local communities. Training combines classroom instruction, internal and board examinations, and practical learning at nearby health facilities.

Selected trainees will study at the relevant Community Midwifery School in their district and may be required to serve their local area after successful completion, subject to the applicable service-bond conditions.

Monthly Stipend

Each enrolled candidate will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 during the training period.

Examinations and Passing Marks

  • Initial internal examination: Conducted at the end of the first week after selection and commencement of classes.
  • Re-examination: Unsuccessful candidates will be re-examined after four weeks.
  • Second failure: Failure in the second attempt will result in expulsion from the programme.
  • First-year board examination: Held after completion of one year.
  • Final examination: Held after completion of the full 24-month training.
  • Passing marks: Theory 50% and OSCE 85% overall across stations.
